DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MEDAL Distinguished service medal is awarded to PLA personel for outstanding and long lasting deeds. Typically: Leadership of major sourceforge project Design and maintenace of Linux kernel code Major improvement of critical open source application
ARMY OF OCCUPATION MEDAL Awarded to PLA personel who succesfuly ousted major proprietary application from big company or institution. Examples include: Getting rid of Oracle databases by replacing it with Firebird. Replacement of Oracle iAS using Tomcat/Cocoon. Erasing all MS Office and replacing by OpenOffice.
MARTYRS MEDAL Awared in memoriam to PLA memers, who will take backapck full of TNT and blow himself in Oracle or Microsoft HQ main server room. PLA members are obliged to take care about martyrs widow and daughters.
GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL Awared to sponsors for donations bigger than 1 mio. USD. You can get this award in one day in four easy steps: Take a suitcase with small banknotes.
